A Gorn on the USS Defiant in 2155
The Gorn were a warp-capable, bipedal reptilian species. Their immense strength and excellent disciplinary ability made them very effective slavemasters. A Gorn named Slar was employed by the Tholians to keep their slaves in line as they worked on salvaging the USS Defiant.
